Maria Starkova-Vindman, Managing Partner

Maria Starkova-Vindman is a founding member of Art Research Advisors and has been advising family offices, cultural organizations and private collectors since 2007. She has been professionally involved in the art world for nearly two decades. Prior to founding the company, she worked at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow as an assistant keeper and curator, and taught on the Courtauld MA course on global contemporary art.

She is a specialist in the fields of Italian 15th-century art and Russian 20th-century culture, including the historical avant-garde, as well as contemporary art of the former Soviet Union. She received an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art and an MA and a PhD from the Moscow State University in Italian Renaissance art history, as well as another PhD on early Soviet visual culture from the Courtauld Institute.
